Load stability · EUMOS 40509

Would your pallet survive an emergency stop?

We test it to EUMOS 40509, on your load. Before and after.

The blind spot

Straps hold the pallet.
What holds the load on the pallet?

A pallet that is firmly secured to the truck can still deform under braking. The only thing holding the load together is the packaging: film, tape, layer pads.

Do you know the containment force of your pallets?

In kg, measured. Not guessed.

Do you know how many grams of film go on each pallet?

It's the first number we measure.

What is EUMOS 40509

The European standard
for load stability.

EUMOS is the European association for safety in logistics. Its 40509 standard measures how much a load unit deforms under braking forces, and it is referenced in EU Directive 2014/47 on roadside technical inspections.

< 10%

deformation during the test

< 5%

Our tests

Three measurements.
No opinions.

EUMOS 40509 acceleration test

We simulate braking and measure how far the load moves, during and after.

EN 12195-1 tilt test

The pallet is tilted gradually until the load first moves.

Containment force

We measure in kg how tightly the film holds. On every side, at every height.

The paradox

Too much damage is costly.
Zero damage may cost even more.

If no pallet ever arrives damaged, you are paying for too much film. The test tells us where the right balance is.

1
We test your pallet as it is today
Acceleration, tilt, containment force.
2
We remove what isn't needed
Less film, less tape, fewer layer pads.
3
We test again
Same load, less packaging, numbers side by side.
4
We issue the Pallet Passport
The standard to follow in the warehouse.

How much film are you wasting?

We help you use fewer kg. And spend fewer €.
